What is Americano Coffee?

Simply described, an Americano is an espresso poured over hot water or hot water poured over espresso. This coffee beverage, is also known as a "café Americano,".

Equipment:

• Fresh Coffee: When possible, choose coffee beans and grind them right before brewing.

• Espresso machine: A Moka pot can also be used to make a beverage similar to espresso.

• Gooseneck Kettle: We've discovered that electric gooseneck kettles are the most user-friendly and offer greater precision than conventional kettles.

Ingredients:

8 ounces of non-boiled water, and 2 ounces of espresso (double shot).

STEPS TO MAKE AMERICANO COFFEE:

Step 1:  A tall coffee cup should be filled with a double shot of espresso, which is the norm for most specialty coffee drinks. Never brewed coffee before? Use our detailed instructions to make espresso at home.
