What is Cappuccino?
An espresso machine is used to make a cappuccino, a milk and coffee beverage. 100 milliliters of steam-foamed milk and 25 milliliters of espresso coffee make up a standard cappuccino. Espresso, hot milk, and foam are all combined in equal quantities in some cappuccino recipes. Compared to other espresso beverages like a macchiato, cortado, or flat white, cappuccinos have more milk, but less milk than a café latte.
STEPS TO MAKE CAPPUCCINO:
STEP 1: Refrigerate The Milk - Cold milk foams better than warm milk, so pour 100 milliliters (3.3 ounces) of whole milk (or barista-style almond, oat, or coconut milk) into a stainless steel frothing pitcher and chill for roughly 20 minutes.
STEP 2: Grind The Coffee Beans - Freshly ground coffee beans provide the greatest espresso, and burr grinders are preferred because they produce more consistent coffee bean particles than blade grinders do. For the freshest coffee possible, baristas generally ground the beans directly into the portafilter.
STEP 3: Grounds Tamping - Tamping is the following action. A tamper is a little, round, flat weight with a handle that resembles a stamp. The tamper is used to compact the coffee grounds into a uniform disc. Tamping will maximize the water's interaction with the coffee and ensure that the portafilter can enter and exit the machine properly. Avoid pressing the disc too firmly to avoid compacting it. Lightly press and then release while giving a small twist.
STEP 4: The Cup - Pour boiling water into a 160-milliliter cappuccino cup to rewarm it.
STEP 5: Pull An Espresso Shot - Slide the filter basket into the device carefully, then turn the handle to secure it. The cappuccino cup should be filled with hot water before being placed under the portafilter. You may need to flip a switch or press a button on your espresso maker in order for the coffee to pour into the cup.
STEP 6: Steam The Milk - You can now use the steam wand to discharge any built-up steam from your machine. To remove any residue from the wand, release a modest amount of steam into a cloth or sponge. Remove the milk from the refrigerator, then place the wand in the middle of the frothing pitcher. Keep the wand immersed and continue to froth the milk until it has reached 125 milliliters and reached a temperature of 130 degrees Fahrenheit. Keep the wand close to the milk's surface at first, then gradually lower it deeper into the milk as the amount of the milk rises.
STEP 7: Pour Milk - On top of the espresso, slowly pour the milk into the cappuccino cup. Add a layer of froth to finish. Serve right away.
