What is Flat White Coffee?
A single or double shot of espresso is poured over a mixture of micro-foamed milk to make a flat white. Steamed milk is used to make this micro foam, which has a smooth, velvety texture and a creamy flavor. Making a flat white requires careful micro foam pouring and boiling.
How to make Flat White Coffee?
Ingredients:
- Espresso
- Milk
- Sugar (If needed)
Equipment:
- Espresso Machine
- Milk Steamer
Process:- In a cup or glass, pull a double espresso.
- To 55–62 °C, steam the milk. Use a thermometer to measure the milk's temperature or become familiar with how the appropriate temperature feels in your hand while holding the pitcher.
- Give the pitcher a knock on the table and gently circulate the milk around the pitcher to make the milk velvety and creamy and to remove any bubbles.
- On the flat white's surface, create a latte art design.
